At binx we always recommend in-person clinical care when a patient has STI (a.k.a. STD) symptoms, for a few reasons. First, clinicians may determine that treatment should be started in advance of test result availability. This is referred to as "presumptive treatment." Further, a clinician may recommend treatment for symptomatic patients, even if their test results are negative. In all cases, a clinician should have the opportunity to asses and properly treat a patient's symptoms.
